The Clear LineREPORTING

About us

Lending people who happen to build reports.

The Clear Line Reporting is a specialist consultancy based in Sydney. We work only with lenders and loan servicers, so we already speak your language.

Why we exist

Most non-bank lenders run on capable loan-servicing platforms, yet month-end reporting still happens in spreadsheets. Someone exports data, pastes it into last month’s workbook, fixes the formulas that broke and hopes the totals tie out before the funder pack is due.

We started The Clear Line Reporting to replace that cycle with reporting that refreshes itself, reconciles to source and stands up to scrutiny from credit committees, funders, trustees and auditors.

The name says it: one clear line through the noise, from the loan system to the decision.

Experience that shortens projects

The practice draws on more than 20 years in Australian financial services technology, across the full lending lifecycle from origination to post-settlement servicing.

  • Loan servicing platforms. Deep, hands-on knowledge of how loan, transaction and arrears data is actually stored, including the quirks.
  • SQL Server and data warehousing. Clean, documented data models that perform, not report logic buried in spreadsheets.
  • Power BI. Portfolio, arrears, pool cut and funder reporting designed for the people who read it.
  • Lending operations. Waterfalls, arrears buckets, hardship, settlements and securitisation are familiar territory, so there’s less to explain.

How we work

  • Reconcile to source

Every report ties back to the loan system. If a number can’t be reconciled, it doesn’t ship.

  • Small, fixed scopes

Start with one painful report, deliver it quickly, then expand. Clear prices, no open-ended projects.

  • You own everything

Models, SQL and documentation are handed over so your team can run and extend them without us.
